Dawn and Andrew
Meet Dawn and Andrew! The couple is scheduled to get hitched in November and I couldn’t be happier for them! I met Dawn through one of the classes I teach at Showcase. Over the course of their engagement shoot, I learned that they were set up by friends, talked by phone for a few weeks and then finally met in Michigan! They have been dating for just shy of 5 years and have gone through a series of life changes, including a long distance relationship, nursing school for Dawn and baseball seasons for Andrew, who now plays for the nationals! I am so excited for them, and know that they are going to live a ‘happily ever after!’

a glimpse into my daily life … a visual journey …
of the good … the ugly … the beautiful … and the mess – that I sometimes (ok lots of times) create. I will add to this journey periodically throughout each month…
These shoes are a representation of a ‘period’ of time for Russell and I – a journey that we took together through being newly married, quitting our jobs, and following dreams.
This dog is a representation of the best $200 we have spent in our entire lives – seriously. She (and Nellie) are great therapy.

ready…set…blast off!
So, I finally got around to setting up my new toy! I have had it for a bit, but other obligations have kept me from the installation process! So what is this new toy you ask? It’s an EPSON V700 scanner! Woopdee doo, a new scanner – sounds fun, not! Well, for film lovers it’s fantastic! In this age of digital photography, I still love film. Medium and Large format film to be exact. After some reasearch, this was one of the better film scanners that wasn’t in the 10’s of thousands range! Get ready for some film lovin…I have had rolls of developed film sitting around for a couple of months!
Feast your eyes on this:
Medium: Large format camera with 50mm lens (which means WIDE angle on this type of camera)F
Film: 100 Kodachrome 4×5
